Research Interests
Luiza Freitas Brum Souza focuses her research on advanced dental biomaterials and their behavior under different manufacturing and clinical conditions. Her work primarily investigates zirconia ceramics, lithium disilicate, and resin-based materials processed by 3D printing and CAD-CAM milling. She studies how material composition, surface conditioning, and adhesive protocols influence mechanical, adhesive durability, and optical properties. By combining mechanical testing, surface characterization, and reliability analyses, her research aims to optimize minimally invasive, metal-free restorative solutions and support the clinical implementation of digital manufacturing technologies.
