Clinic of Cranio-Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery

Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Thomas Attin, Interim Clinic Director Oral Surgery:

“I would like to welcome you to the Cranio-Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery.

Our expertise lies in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of diseases, injuries, malformations and deformities of the complex structures of the oral cavity, jaws and teeth.

We perform all oral surgical procedures in the area of the teeth and jawbone under local anesthesia and, if indicated, also under general anesthesia. This includes the surgical removal of teeth / wisdom teeth, cysts and root apices as well as other tooth-preserving procedures and the replacement of missing teeth by implants (artificial tooth roots). If necessary, we individually reconstruct lost gums and bone. We use modern, low-radiation 3D X-ray equipment, digital CAD-CAM-supported procedures and navigation for treatment.

We offer daily general and specialized consultation hours, examination and treatment. In complex situations, we cooperate with the respective specialists at the ZZM and USZ to achieve the best possible individual result. The interdisciplinary consultation hours for peri-implantitis, bone augmentation and changes to the oral mucosa are well established.

Our clinic is a nationally and internationally recognized center for patient care, research and teaching in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery and oral surgery.”
